Bachelor
Entry qualification
- Transcript of Records – If you have not yet completed Secondary School, you must upload a transcript showing your current grades. You can find the transcript template here.
- Secondary School Leaving Certificate – If you have already completed Secondary School, you do not need to upload a separate transcript. Simply upload your Secondary School Leaving Certificate to the application.

Note:
- Document Deadline – All required documents must be sent to the university by 5 July.
- This deadline does not apply to applicants who will already have their secondary school diploma and final certificate at the time of application.
- IB students – Students taking the International Baccalaureate (IB) receive their diploma earlier, so they should not have any problems submitting the required documents on time.

Entry qualification
- ECTS transcript – If you are still completing your Bachelor’s degree, upload an ECTS transcript showing the subjects you have studied, your grades, and the number of credits awarded. Your Bachelor’s diploma must be uploaded later, as soon as you receive it.
- Bachelor’s diploma – If you have already graduated, upload your Bachelor’s diploma. A separate ECTS transcript is not required.
Note: Your Bachelor’s degree must be in the same or a related field as the Master’s programme you are applying for. The university will check whether you have completed enough relevant subjects and ECTS credits.

Accommodation in Aarhus
Finding housing in Denmark can be challenging, especially in popular student cities like Aarhus. Aarhus University does not have traditional on-campus housing, meaning dormitories are located throughout the city. However, the public transportation system and excellent bicycle infrastructure make commuting to campus easy and convenient. Most students live within a 30-minute bike ride or bus trip from the university.
How to find a place to live
Aarhus University offers housing assistance to specific groups of international students through AU Housing. They have access to around 700 rooms in various dormitories and shared houses across the city. It is important to note that AU Housing only provides temporary accommodation for your first 6 to 12 months in Denmark. After this period, you are expected to find your own housing.
If you are a full-degree student, you can apply for housing through Student Housing Aarhus, which administers student residences across the city, or through the general housing portal Aarhusbolig. You can also explore the private rental market, but be aware of housing scammers and never pay a deposit before seeing a contract.
