Levels of study: which one can you apply for?
Bachelor's studies
You can apply for bachelor's programs if:
- you are in your final year of secondary school;
- you have finished school and have your secondary school leaving certificate;
- you already study at a university but want to change your field of study or your university;
- you already have a bachelor's degree and want a second one in another field.
You receive your bachelor's degree after 3–4 years of study, depending on the country and program you choose.

Free bachelor's studies. For students with EU, EEA or Swiss citizenship, bachelor's studies are free at public universities in Denmark, Sweden and Finland.
Master's studies
You can apply for master's programs if:

Can I apply while I'm still in my final year of secondary school?
Yes – you can apply for bachelor's studies in your final year of secondary school. You don't need your secondary school leaving certificate when you fill in the application form. In the same way, you can apply for master's studies in the final year of your bachelor's studies.
Do my grades and school-leaving exam results matter?
Usually not – when you apply to a university abroad, grades don't matter much, and many universities don't look at your school-leaving exam results at all. Your motivation, your personal qualities and how much you want to grow in your chosen field matter much more. Still, some study programs may have additional requirements – you will always find them in the program description.
Will I need to take an IELTS or TOEFL test?
