Strategic marketing is essential for businesses that want to grow, adapt, and stay competitive in a global economy. This programme equips you with the tools, analytical mindset, and international perspective needed to design and implement marketing strategies that align with corporate goals and business models. You will learn how to:

  • Interpret marketing metrics and make data-driven forecasts.
  • Evaluate products, markets, and customer segments.
  • Translate research and customer data into actionable strategies.
  • Manage and improve customer experiences throughout the customer journey.

You will also explore how marketing supports innovation, resilience, and transformation, while deepening your understanding of sustainable and ethical marketing practices that build long-term value and trust.

From strategy to practice

At JIBS, theory and practice are closely intertwined. You will combine advanced coursework with applied projects and case studies, gaining hands-on experience, developing strategies for growth and market disruption. You will graduate with both theoretical depth and practical capabilities - including proficiency in digital marketing tools and data-driven analysis.

The programme concludes with a 15-credit master’s thesis, where you apply your knowledge to a focused topic in strategic marketing and demonstrate the skills needed to create real impact.

After graduation, you will be ready for roles such as brand manager, product or category manager, marketing manager, sales manager, or growth manager. Your expertise in strategic decision-making, customer insights, and data-driven marketing will make you highly attractive to employers in Sweden and across the globe.
