Wondering which study program best matches both your interests and the needs of the job market? Curious to know which countries abroad offer the best study conditions for you? Looking for extra arguments to help you make one of the most important decisions of your life? We understand how challenging it can be to choose a career path after finishing school, which is why we offer comprehensive support every step of the way!
Plan your future while you’re still in school!
We recommend taking the first steps toward choosing your career path while you’re still in school. The earlier you start, the less stress you’ll experience in your final year.
- Get involved in extracurricular activities: play sports, create, make music, read – most importantly, try to discover what brings out your best qualities! When applying to university, you’ll have great stories to share in your motivation letter, and the skills you gain will be valuable for life.
- Develop teamwork skills – take part in community activities by joining themed clubs or societies.
- Volunteer! You’ll gain experience and certificates/diplomas that you can include in your university application.
- Attend summer camps – they’re a great opportunity to showcase your talents, meet like-minded people, and build confidence when interacting in a new environment.
- Learn foreign languages! This is no longer just an advantage – it’s a necessity.
- Most importantly – have the courage to pursue what truly interests you!
What should you consider before making a decision?
Who do I want to become? – This is the key question, because only by setting your career goals can you choose a program that will give you the most relevant skills.
- What interests me? – If you’re still not entirely sure what you want to become, a good choice could be to study something you genuinely enjoy. Think about the subjects that motivate, inspire, and excite you. Imagine the kind of job you’d go to as if it were a celebration. All your dreams can soon become reality!
- What am I good at? – Everyone has unique talents or skills: one person draws exceptionally well, another excels in languages, and another has a natural gift for science. The key is to identify your own strengths.
- Who can help me decide? – If you’re uncertain, think about who could guide you – maybe your parents, friends, career advisors, or Kastu consultants. You can also take career orientation tests to gain more clarity.

Choosing a study program
You’ve already chosen the field you’d like to pursue in the future, but feel lost among the wide variety of study programs? Here are some suggestions to help you find the right answer:
Choose study programs and universities where:
- Study groups bring together students from 5 or more different countries.
- Each study group consists of no more than 35 students.
- There are opportunities to improve your foreign language skills.
- You can participate in various trips and cultural events.
- Practical training is combined with theoretical knowledge.
- You can deepen your existing education (for those applying to Master’s programs).
Additionally:
- Read the program description to ensure you will actually study what you think you will (you can find this information via the link next to each study program). Which subjects are included in the program? Do they seem interesting to you?
- Review the admission requirements for the study programs (available on the Kastu website under each program’s description) and check the education system descriptions (found in the “Where to Study?” section).
- Compare universities that offer your chosen study programs – attend Kastu-organized meetings with university representatives or visit the universities’ own websites.
- Find out what is offered beyond academics – does the university provide opportunities for sports or other extracurricular activities that interest you?
- Evaluate internship opportunities – is there a chance to do practical training during your studies?
- Check accommodation options – on the Kastu website, each university’s description includes an “Accommodation” section.
- Assess the university environment – does it meet your expectations? On our website, you can watch videos and view photos available for each university.
- Read student reviews – on Kastu’s site, you will find feedback from students who have studied or are currently studying abroad.
