International Honours Degree in Teaching

If you have a passion to teach and are open to new cultures, teaching in an international context may suit you. The International Teacher Education (ITE) is the first full Bachelor programme which trains students as teachers in international schools.
Through the International Honours Degree in Teaching, you will be exposed to different national and international educational approaches and systems, and will gain practical teaching practices.
Once you have completed your four-year programme, you will be awarded a Bachelor of Education title. You will receive a diploma supplement with your diploma to show that you are also specifically prepared to teach at an international school.
The International Honours Degree is much more demanding, but it opens the door to extraordinary opportunities during and after your education:

The number of international and multicultural schools in the world is rapidly increasing; new schools are being opened all the time, and it is clear that there is no end in sight for the demand for well-qualified teachers specialised in international education.
Teaching in an international school entails working with children of different nationalities and often different cultural backgrounds. The programme prepares you to recognise the differences and to make use of them in your job as a teacher.
However, as a teacher with an International Teacher Education background, you will not only be attractive as a teacher in international schools; you will also be qualified to teach in your respective national context. Moreover, you will be able to further educate yourself on diploma or master level.
